Painting Exterior Windows, Walls and Front Door In Crouch End, N8
In this job which we did recently (August 2014) we did some work for a customer in Highbury. The work involved painting exterior
walls, windows and front entrance door.
Put scaffolding in place across the front of the house.
Repaired the plaster where required by replacing old pointing and closing cracks on walls.
Applied wall filler and sand down the walls at the front
Painted the walls with white exterior weather proof exterior paint.
Applied wood filler and sanded down on all the window frames and woodwork around the windows.
Painted the window frames with 1 coat weather proof exterior primer undercoat and 1 coat weather proof exterior gloss finishing paint.
Painting the front entrance door
Rubbed down and applied wood filler to the front door on the outside.
Painted with 1 coat of base undercoat paint which enabled us to paint the door with a new colour.
Painted the door with gloss weather proof exterior paint. We needed to apply 2 coats of gloss to ensure a high quality finish which stops the old colour from showing.
The work took 1 week to complete and to finish leaving the windows and sorrowunding clean and tidy.
