Full Front Garden Makeover in Walthamstow, London

Our team recently completed a garden landscaping project in Walthamstow.

The garden wall was weak and damaged. The shrubs were overgrown and the driveway concrete crazy paving was not in good condition. The walking pathway was in an odd arched shape.

Step 1. Clearance

The first job we did was to clear everything so we could work from a blank canvas. We lifted out the front driveway, removed the entire brick wall, removed all overgrown shrubs, ivy and all other plants.

Step 2. Hard Landscaping.

The next step was for us to proceed with the hard landscaping by removing part of the arched walkway and straightening the walkway. We then proceed to build up new brick wall bordering the main road and the neighbour's garden. The new brick wall was built using reclaimed mixed stock bricks. The customer wanted to have a wall which looked like it was there for a long time and not new looking. The reclaimed bricks and their inconsistencies give the feel of an old wall with the extra structural strength.

After brick wall was done we laid new driveway with natural stone paving. We levelled the ground following the natural slope of the ground. The paving was laid on a strong mix of sand and cement.

Step 3. Finishes.

We then proceeded to lay the walk path with red tiles and grouted with black exterior grout. Finally we turfed part of the front garden and build a continuous flower bed using railway sleepers.
